LATOxLATO
Italians by birth, architects by training and travelers by vocation, Virginia Valentini e Francesco Breganze de Capnist are designers and dreamers. Not only they are a professional duo, but they are also partners in life. As husband and wife, they share a deep creative affinity.
In 2016 they opened their first professional studio in New York and signed several interior architecture projects. The overseas experience stimulated them to develop an unconventional design but the passion for their roots, made in Italy craftsmanship and the rich Italian artistic and architectural heritage constituted an irresistible attraction.
Hence the idea of returning to Italy and founding LATOxLATO, a design workshop that ranges with the same dedication from large-scale architectural design to the most meticulous product detail. LATOxLATO has the main objective of creating contemporary projects with a modern approach through a synergy between the arts and a constant dialogue between art and architecture.
Our eyes are always wide open to the world around us and our minds always ready for new sources of inspiration. Every product we create is the fruit of not only in-depth research and experimentation, but also a will to set aside the usual solutions and a desire to challenge certain conventions.
And this is why, when you come face to face with a LATOxLATO object for the first time, you might be bewildered or you might be instantly fascinated. One thing is certain, however: you will definitely not be left indifferent.

Italiani di nascita, architetti di formazione e viaggiatori per vocazione, Virginia Valentini e Francesco Breganze de Capnist sono designer e sognatori. Non solo un duo professionale, ma anche compagni di vita. Come marito e moglie, condividono una profonda affinità creativa.
Nel 2016 hanno aperto il loro primo studio professionale a New York e firmato diversi progetti di architettura d'interni. L'esperienza all'estero li ha stimolati a sviluppare un design non convenzionale, ma la passione per le loro radici, l'artigianato Made in Italy e il ricco patrimonio artistico e architettonico italiano hanno rappresentato un'attrazione irresistibile.
Da qui l'idea di tornare in Italia e fondare LATOxLATO, un laboratorio di design che spazia con la stessa dedizione dalla progettazione architettonica su larga scala al più meticoloso dettaglio di prodotto. LATOxLATO ha come obiettivo principale la creazione di progetti contemporanei con un approccio moderno, attraverso una sinergia tra le arti e un dialogo costante tra arte e architettura.
I nostri occhi sono sempre spalancati sul mondo che ci circonda e le nostre menti sempre pronte a nuove fonti di ispirazione. Ogni prodotto che creiamo è frutto non solo di approfondite ricerche e sperimentazioni, ma anche della volontà di abbandonare le soluzioni convenzionali e del desiderio di sfidare determinate convenzioni.
Ed è per questo che, quando vi troverete di fronte a un oggetto LATOxLATO per la prima volta, potreste rimanere perplessi o esserne immediatamente affascinati. Una cosa è certa: non vi lascerà di certo indifferenti.
